Thanksgiving Fotos

I did a lot of things over Thanksgiving want to hear them ok.  Fly home, eat, sleep, eat, tv, cul-de-sac paper, cul-de-sac paper, crab legs, cheese, crab legs, cheese, wine, win, wine, win, shop, eat, shop, eat, sleep, eat, give me presents, goodbye.

It’s all documented here.

Oh, and if you haven’t donated/voted for NDI on the facebook dot com, you should.

I’m at the Philadelphia airplane station.  The only open seat next to an outlet was across from the body shop and now I am feeling faint from Merry Cranberry Body Spray fumes slash the chick-filet sandwich I just consumed I don’t want to talk about it.  The good news is I get in at 10:20p and Ma Sweet is coming to pick me up and then we’re going to work out with her trainer at 7:30am.  That, or I’ll borrow her Schwinn Bianchi and bike around the block for forty five minutes and listen to jock jams.  We’ll see. Win-win, hard to say.

Today we had to submit the skeletons of our final design project.  Here is the skeleton of Karen’s street section.  I love it a lot.  What are you going to add to the final design?  A bench with a sitting lady friend?  A bike lane?  A biking lady friend?  Grad school is just full of possibilites.

This morning I went to the corner of N 38th st and Lancaster Ave to take shots for my final graphics project.  I was milling about taking photos of crosswalks and measuring curb widths, when suddenly…

RIP Zucchini Jam

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

Yesterday I went to the farmer’s market and I saw some zucchini jam and I thought I like zucchinis and jam omg is this fate?  So I held up the zucchini jam to the farmer and I said, Is this zucchini jam delicious? and he said, yes that zucchini jam is delicious.  So I bought it.

Then I came home and I saw my roommate and I said, Roommate I bought some zucchini jam and she looked skeptical and I said I will let you know if it is delicious.  So I made a piece of toast and I spread on some zucchini jam and I tried it and I said, omg this zucchini jam IS delicious! fatefatefatefatefate.

Then this morning I made some toast and I reached for my new zucchini jam and just then all of a sudden it fell from my hands and onto the floor where it shattered into a pile of broken glass shards and shattered zucchini jam dreams.  I stood there motionless and in disbelief, which was soon followed by other stages of grief, including anger, resentment, and finally a period of sadness and quiet mourning.  I stooped down and cleaned up my pile of shattered deliciousness and dropped it into the trash.

My roommate walked in and I said, Roommate, I dropped the zucchini jam and there may be shards of glass/feelings on the floor, be careful.  And she said, Oh no, the zucchini jam? May it just wasn’t meant to be.

rip zucchini jam.  you were delicious.

PowerPoint PowerFun!

I just finished putting together our group’s powerpoint presentation for tomorrow’s presentation to the city council.  We had to compare six census tracts and determine which site would be the best location for a magnet school based on census data, 2006 projections, and confidence intervals.  I know.  Easy.
